2009 has dawned!

Miriam and I are looking forward to a great year. We pray for you a very blessed and rewarding adventure through the days of 2009.

As we welcome the New Year we eagerly anticipate answering many questions.

While our house has not yet sold we are making storage arrangements. BJ and Sherah-Leigh are in the same situation - still have their townhouse in VA and planning to move to Ohio next week.
We plan to leave our house on the market and have our agent continue to show through the winter and spring. With the holiday season past we hope the people might be more interested in real estate again. We are also needing to get on to the many other decisions that need to be made . . . final doctor's appointment, prescription arrangements, eye appointment, and then address changes, banking info, bills taken care of, power of attorney, wills, MCC's response to my Re-entry Visa situation, etc.
Orientation begins in Akron, PA on January 27. The first week is general orientation and the second week orientation for international workers. During orientation our understanding is that MCC prepares Prayer Cards, which we hope to get into the hands (and on the fridges) of our family, friends and church community.
We finish the orientation schedule on the 6th of February. We have a couple of days to visit family in PA and VA and then will have Charissa take us to the Harrisburg airport on February 11 when we fly out for Nigeria. We will fly Harrisburg - Washington DC - Frankfurt - Abuja.
MCC Nigeria is preparing to meet us and transport us to Jos where we will settle for three months of language and culture studies in preparation for our settlement in Gindiri at the Gindiri College of Theology.
The excitement (and tension is mounting). We pray for clarity and energy as we move towards the calling of this year of transition. Thank you for your continued prayer support.
