Our Prayer Concerns Update:

1. Our tickets are purchased!
Following general orientation at MCC Akron Jan. 26 - Feb. 6 we will fly on FEBRUARY 11 from Harrisburg, PA to Abuja, Nigeria where the Jos MCC staff will meet us.

2. Yesterday, December 10, I received my US Re-Entry Permit.
It came a lot faster than we anticipated.
However, it is only good for two years.
My request for a third year was denied.

3. Our real estate: C e l e b r a t e - we have had SEVEN showings now!

4. Join us for the C e l e b r a t i o n
On Sunday, December 28 there will be a farewell recognition and commissioning in the 9:00 a.m. worship service. Our girls, along with son-in-law BJ will be around for the congregational noon meal and the 1:00-3:00 open house at the church.
5. Rich Family Celebrations
We enjoyed time with Miriam's family in PA over Thanksgiving where we were able to celebrate our Risser Family Christmas. Sherah-Leigh, BJ and Maria from Virgina were able to meet up with Charissa in Pennyslvania for the time together.
This past weekend we enjoyed a very special time as Doug's siblings with their spouses joined us in Leo for a short weekend of family fun. It was a great time to be together. Thanks guys!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYER SUPPORT!

Our Continuing Prayer Concerns:

1. Our Real Estate:

We reduced our asking price in an attempt to generate more action. We recognize that it is a tough time. However we believe in the God of Miracles! We are believing and living into God's future.

2. Security Issues

We have been trying to monitor reactions to the recent flare-up of violence in Jos, the capital of the Plateau State. Apparently, some 500 persons were killed and 20-30,000 people have been displaced. Security is a concern particularly through the upcoming holiday season.

3. Re-Entry Timeline

We are not sure what it will mean that I have only have a two year window on my Re-Entry Visa. With the issue and expire dates it complicates how to manage our term. One option is to return annually. Another option is to return for two months at the end of 2010. We are praying for discernment.
